Red Machete condemns U.S. Imperialism and Settler Colonialism in Palestine, in the U.S. and around the world. We stand with the Palestinian Resistance.
The United States is a white supremacist settler colonial society itself, with several active colonies and neo-colonial puppets and proxies at it’s disposal. The deep centering of U.S. global capitalist hegemony (imperialism) has put the U.S. at the center of fueling and funding the genocide in Gaza, and the continued occupation of Palestine. We understand imperialism not only in terms of occupation, war, and death, but also in terms of neo-colonialism, sanctions, blockades and proxy wars.
The people of Palestine are not only demanding a ceasefire to stop the genocidal attacks
of the Zionist occupation forces, they are demanding a complete removal of the blockade which has strangled Gaza since 2008. The people of Gaza need a return of food, water, medical supplies and medical personnel. They need the assault to stop so they can bury their dead.
A return to the occupation functioning as it has is still genocide. The people of Palestine need victory over the occupation to free themselves and establish true peace and justice. The Zionist oppressor chooses the level of violence of this struggle, and it is not our place here in the United States to condemn the forms of resistance that the oppressed use to free themselves. We condemn the occupation!
The people of Palestine are heroically resisting a genocidal occupation, an occupation that would not be possible without U.S. military and financial support. We in the U.S. owe it to Palestinians to do everything in our power to aid them in their resistance.
